Plot Summary:

This slowly-paced history of the Central Intelligence Agency is both intimate and epic in scope. The CIA's story is outlined against the quietly anxious life of counterintelli-gence agent Edward Wilson, a fictionalized version of real life CIA agent James Angleton. Wilson's emotionally stoic, though suspicious, nature makes him a natural for the secretive spy group, but the very same characteristics cause him trouble and pain when he must remain emotionally aloof and unavailable to his wife and young son. Tuc appears in a small, but crucial, role as an audio recording expert, who helps Wilson suss out a dangerous CIA leak.
