January 21, 2008 -- Getting to the Point
In 2007, Tuc starred in and executive produced a new comedy TV pilot, called Point View Terrace, with his good friends Brooke Dillman, Jeff Drake and Wendy Molyneux. Thanks to the WGA strike, pilot season's up in the air right now, so who knows if this one will get to the air. But Jeff's website, Pudding Canyon, has posted a sneak preview clip, and you can be one of the first to check it out. The clip takes a few minutes to download, so be patient. It's worth it just to see Tuc briefly dancing.

January 20, 2008 -- It's Nice To Be Nominated
Although the Writer's Guild strike has thrown Hollywood into a tailspin, awards season is still moving along and Tuc has luckily been a part of two recent awards nominations. For the Screen Actor's Guild Awards, to be awarded on Sunday, January 27, the cast of Desperate Housewives has been nominated for Best Ensemble Cast in a Comedy Series. And just today, Desperate Housewives also picked up a GLAAD Awards nomination for Best Comedy Series. Good luck to the home team on both.

November 2, 2007 -- Double Your Tuc
As if Tuc's doing double duty on ABC, on daytime with OLTL and primetime with Desperate Housewives, weren't enough, now comes word that there'll be even more of Tuc to see this coming Sunday night, November 4th. At 9:00 p.m., Tuc will not only appear on ABC in his regular Desperate Housewives role, but also on CBS in a guest shot on the crime drama Cold Case. Tuc will play a character in flashback scenes from 1938. Make sure to set your DVRs early.

October 12, 2007 -- In Touch With Tuc
Things are hot right now for Tuc and we couldn't be happier! Fans will definitely want to pick up the October 22, 2007 issue of In Touch Weekly magazine, which features Tuc in an article on the four hottest new hunks on primetime. Tuc invites the magazine into his new Los Angeles-area home for a great full page pic and a quick chat. He reveals a little bit of info on his upcoming Desperate Housewives role, and hints that he broke the ice with his new co-stars with a game of truth or dare.

October 8, 2007 -- Who's Your Daddy?
It's been brewing for a year or more, but fans who've been waiting patiently for the reveal on One Life To Live that David Vickers is secretly Asa Buchanan's son only have a few more weeks to go. Beginning November 2nd, Tuc will once again return to the Llanview canvas for a brief stay, so that David can finally find out the truth about his wealthy parentage. Even better is the news that Phil Carey will also be returning to the role of Asa, to help out with the big reveal. We can't wait!

October 1, 2007 -- Moving In Day
Mark your calendars! Tuc's debut on Desperate Housewives is scheduled for Sunday, October 21, 2007. We don't know many more plot points than have already been revealed elsewhere, but we do know that Tuc's having a blast in his new role. He's also quite enjoying the fact that his new home on Wisteria Lane is none other than 1313 Mockingbird Lane, the home of The Munsters, which was filmed on the same set. We'll have to wait and see if Grampa Munster left his pet dragon behind in Bob & Lee's basement.

September 17, 2007 -- Trick Or Treat
Thanks to the folks at Access Hollywood, we're getting our first look at Tuc and his new castmate, Kevin Rahm, on Desperate Housewives. It looks like their characters, Bob & Lee, will be bringing their party to Wisteria Lane around Halloween time, and we've gotta say we love those genie and pirate costumes! Tuc's and Kevin's chemistry in the interview definitely has us anxious to see more, and from the e-mails we're getting, we know a lot of you feel the same. Stay tuned for more.

August 14, 2007 -- Desperate Living
Fans who've been awaiting Tuc's long overdue move to primetime network television can finally stop holding their breaths. As was reported today on TVGuide.com, Tuc has been cast as one half of a new gay couple on ABC's hit series, Desperate Housewives. Tuc will play Bob, "described as a country mouse who leaves the big city for greener (and quieter) pastures," something he's not likely to get much of on DH's Wisteria Lane. We'll report more on this major news as soon as we find out more.

August 1, 2007 -- The Life of the Party
As we wait for Tuc's guest appearance on Jackie Woodman, there's fresh material for Tuc's fans to dig into, thanks to the folks at Pudding Canyon. In a sublimely silly short called "The Ladder Party," directed by Jeff Drake and co-starring Megan Mullally, Tuc plays Dick, a guy who always knows how to get a party going. You can check out a newly uploaded copy of the short on YouTube here or you can download a higher resolution QuickTime version on Pudding Canyon's website. Enjoy!

July 15, 2007 -- Show Me The Funny
Real fans of Tuc's know he's an incredible dramatic actor, but more than anything else, he's a genius with a punchline. We're sorry to say he hasn't landed his own sitcom yet, but Tuc has let us know that he filmed a guest role on Laura Kightlinger's hilarious Indenpendent Film Channel series, The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman. Tuc's episode is called "Jackie Meets Her Match" and we're pretty sure it will premiere on IFC on Sunday, August 26 at 11:30 p.m. Keep an eye on IFC's website to be sure.

April 1, 2007 -- May Day! May Day!
Fans of Tuc's left hanging by David's all-too-brief return to One Life To Live in early March will finally get a bit of payoff in late May. Tuc is set to return to the show for a 20-episode run, starting May 25th. Storyline details are still very secret, but we're sure that David's confession to Spencer's murder will be resolved and we're hoping his past with Asa will finally be revealed. Erika Slezak has also let slip in her fan club newsletter that David and Viki will share some screen time. So stay tuned.

March 14, 2007 -- Hooray For The Home Team
Sadly, the Daytime Emmys overlooked Tuc's outstanding work as David Vickers again this year, but a couple of Tuc's co-stars managed to snag nominations and we here at www.tucwatkins.com wanted congratulate them. Bravo to Renee Elise Goldsberry, and especially to Tuc's frequent onscreen co-stars, Heather Tom and Dan Gauthier, for shining through and catching Emmy's attention. We'll be rooting for you when the awards are handed out on Friday, June 15th.

January 31, 2007 -- Third Time's A Charm?
For the third year in a row, Tuc's co-stars and colleagues at One Life To Live have selected Tuc and Dan Gauthier (ex-Kevin) to represent their show at the Daytime Emmys as pre-nominees in the Best Supporting Actor category. Pre-nominees from all of the daytime dramas will be considered by an expert panel during February, and five actual nominees will be announced on March 14, 2007 on CBS's Early Show. Let's hope that this year, three turns out to be the magic number for Tuc and he gets some of the industry acknowledgment he so well deserves.

December 20, 2006 -- Sound Movie Advice
On December 22, Tuc's newest film The Good Shepherd opens up nationwide. Directed by Robert DeNiro and starring Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie, the movie tells a fictionalized history of the CIA through one man's eyes. Tuc appears in two crucial scenes as a Sound Technical Officer, who helps pinpoint a dangerous mole. To check out the movie's trailer, visit The Good Shepherd's official website, and be sure to check out the movie in theaters.

December 15, 2006 -- A Nice Holiday Surprise
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. Or at least that's what some fans started thinking this week when rumors leaked out that Tuc might be returning soon to One Life To Life. We are happy to confirm the rumors are true. Tuc will be heading back to New York in January to film "a few episodes" to tie up plot threads left dangling when his character, David Vickers, left Llanview in November. We have no storyline details to share, but we suspect that David will be back on screen sometime around February sweeps.

November 16, 2006 -- Go West, Young Man
As online spoilers and magazines have long been suggesting, Tuc's final airdate on One Life To Live will be November 21. Tuc is headed west to Los Angeles to take on other roles and to pursue his passion for home renovation. Be sure to check out the Nov. 28, 2006 issue of Soap Opera Weekly for an exclusive interview with Tuc on his future plans. And be sure to stay tuned to this website for any news on where you might be seeing Tuc onscreen next.

October 1, 2006 -- Sweater Set
Early in his career, Tuc made a number of small guest appearances on big TV shows. Tuc'll be the first to tell you he wishes some of those appearances would vanish for good because he ended up being typecast as the nice, frat guy: "I basically played a cardigan sweater." Now, this fall, two of those appearances will be preserved even longer on DVD releases of Melrose Place's First Season and Baywatch's Second Season, which you can pre-order now. See our Guest Credits page for more info on Tuc's roles on these shows.

August 11, 2006 -- The Out-Of-Towner
We've heard from a number of fans who plan on attending this year's One Life To Live Fan Club Luncheon on August 19th, asking us if Tuc will be in attendance this year. Unfortunately, Tuc has informed us that he will be out of town on that date and unable to join the celebration. Many other cast members will be in attendance, however, and we're sure that a good time will be had by all. And if there's anything interesting to report from the event, we'd love to hear back from those attending.

May 19, 2006 -- Unlucky 13
The networks' fall season upfronts have now come and gone, and unfortunately the pilot Tuc was involved with, 13 Graves, was passed over by FOX. It's the nature of the business, with only a small number of pilots making the cut. We're confident this will free up Tuc for another promising and exciting opportunity. And for the time being, Tuc is still in the midst of a contract with One Life To Live. If we hear from Tuc of any change in his status with OLTL or any other new roles, we'll post that news here. Stay tuned!

April 4, 2006 -- Buried Treasure At FOX?
Late winter/early spring is pilot season in Hollywood, when the networks order up a slew of potential projects for their fall schedules. Some make it, most won't. This season, Tuc has been cast as Lawrence in a FOX Network project titled 13 Graves. The drama finds a retired treasure hunter (Matthew Lillard of Scooby Doo and Scream fame) getting caught up in the quest to find Francisco Pizarro's fabled mass of Incan gold. Only FOX knows if this series will make it to their fall schedule, but if it does, you heard about it here first.

March 14, 2006 -- A Very Special Announcement
It is our great pleasure to announce the birth of Mary Charles Robinson, the daughter of Tuc's sister Courtney and her husband Jeff. Mary Charles, named after Tuc and Courtney's parents, made her debut on January 28, and according to Uncle Tuc arrived a "happy and healthy" baby girl, weighing 7 lbs, 7 oz. We'd like to extend our warmest congratulations to everyone in the Watkins/Robinson family. If you'd like to pass on your own best wishes to Courtney, stop by her website and send her an e-mail.

March 10, 2006 -- Back To The Big Screen
It's been several years since Tuc last worked on a feature film, but that long stretch has now come to an end. Tuc recently filmed a small part in The Good Shepherd, a new film written by Oscar winner Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, The Insider, Munich) and directed by Robert DeNiro. Headlined by Matt Damon, the movie tells the history of the Central Intelligence Agency through one man's eyes. It's due to be released by Universal Pictures in December 2006, just in time for awards season contention.

February 13, 2006 -- Beggars Need To Be Choosers
Attention, Fans! We hear from Peter Lefcourt that Disney has put off the release of the Beggars & Choosers Season One DVD set. This was supposed to be released in January 2006, but Disney has indefinitely put on the brakes. The production is already done, we just need to encourage Disney to release it. So please start sending letters to let them know you were waiting to buy it. Their address is: Buena Vista Home Video, 3900 W. Alameda, Burbank, CA 91505. Be polite, but let 'em know you want to own this one.

December 15, 2005 -- Tuc For You On Line One
Ever wanted to hear Tuc's voice whenever your cellphone rings or see his handsome mug on your cellphone background? If so, we've great news for you. Soapfone is a new company offering cellphone ringtones, wallpapers and (eventually) videos starring your favorite soap stars, including Tuc. If your phone isn't on the list of models served by Soapfone, be sure to send them a suggestion via their online form, letting them know your cellphone model and service provider, and that you're dying to download Tuc.

December 11, 2005 -- Rumor Has It
We've heard from a few sources that a Dallas station recently reported on their daytime gossip report that Tuc will be leaving OLTL as soon as his contract runs out in August 2006. We decided to ask Tuc, himself, who had this to say: "Any rumor about my departure from OLTL is simply and entirely that, a rumor. I've never quite understood how rumors like these get started. I do, however, understand that Demi Moore's 'Rumer' was started by Bruce Willis." So, there you have it. We hope that clears things up.

September 25, 2005 -- Emergency Landing
If you saw the recent emergency landing of JetBlue Flight 292 in Los Angeles, you were probably just as shocked as we were. But we were really surprised when we found out that Tuc was a passenger on that flight. We're happy to report that Tuc weathered the scary landing just fine. On September 23, he visited ABC's The View to tell his story, and we've posted a transcript of that visit, which also includes a brief personal note from Tuc to those who were pulling for him and the rest of the passengers & crew on Flight 292.

July 28, 2005 -- It's Lunch Time!
We've received a few questions from fans over the last several weeks asking us if Tuc will be attending this year's One Life To Live Fan Club Luncheon, and we're happy to be able to confirm that indeed he will. The event will be held Saturday, August 20, and according to the fan club website, tickets are still available. If you're able to make it to the luncheon, be sure to send us your pics and we'll post the best ones in our Soap Events gallery.

May 7, 2005 -- He's The Champ, And That's No Bluff
Congratulations go out to Tuc for his recent big win at the Sands Celebrity Poker Tournament in Atlantic City. Tuc beat out several other celebs for the grand prize: $15,000 for Max-Life, a juvenile diabetes research foundation organized by Tuc's friends Bill and Max Rowe. Be sure to stop by and support them if you can. The poker tournament aired on June 11th on WPVI in Philadelphia.

April 1, 2005 -- Spencer For Hire
It's hard to believe it's been 11 years since David Vickers first appeared in Llanview, and in all that time we've once never heard if he has any surviving family members. Now it appears that the Vickers clan will be growing. Actor Paul Satterfield will soon be joining the cast as Spencer, David's long-lost older brother. Paul is well known for previous roles on daytime and nighttime soaps, so we're sure he's bound to stir up big drama. Look for his first appearance on OLTL in late May.

March 14, 2005 -- The Tuc & Robin Show
Be sure to tune in to SoapNet's Soap Talk on April 13 to catch a guest spot with Tuc and Robin Strasser. Tuc and Robin filmed their segments with Ty Treadway and Lisa Rinna on Saturday, March 12, and we're happy to report that the chemistry between their characters, David & Dorian, is just as potent in real life. They talk about Tuc's casting on OLTL, making pancakes on their new set, and they even play a mock version of The Newlywed Game against Ty and Lisa. You'll have to check out the show to see who wins!

March 1, 2005 -- Tuc's Most Wanted
Fairly often, we hear from fans who want to know if Tuc's Showtime series Beggars & Choosers will ever be repeated on TV or released on DVD. Well, we're happy to report that series creator Peter Lefcourt has informed us that Disney (the current rights holder) has tentative plans to release it on DVD in late 2005 if various clearances can be worked out. If you've never heard of this series, be sure to check out our B&C pages to get a taste of what you've missed out on. We'll report more on this release as soon as we hear anything new.

February 1, 2005 -- And The Winner Is
"Word of the Day" is a year-long competition at OLTL. At the beginning of each day the stage manager picks a word at random and announces it over the intercom. The first actor to work that word (e.g., carbohydrate, slippery) into his dialogue gets a point. At the end of the year the actor with the most points wins a medal. Since its inception, Erika Slezak has won every year. This year, though, Tuc knocked her off her throne when he was presented with the award at OLTL's Christmas party.

January 29, 2005 -- Lady and the Scamp
Keep your eyes open for the February 15, 2005 issue of ABC Soaps in Depth, which features a new, 6-page interview with Tuc and Robin Strasser. In addition to several great photos of the pair, the article finds Tuc and Robin dishing about their favorite storylines, most embarrassing moments, and lots more. This article comes just as we're hearing that OLTL is casting a new character who will impact David and Dorian's relationship in a big way. No word yet on who that character will be, but we can't wait to find out.

August 7, 2004 -- Mr. Talkative
August appears to be a talk-happy month for Tuc. Not only did he just appear on The View, but his episode of SoapNet's Soap Talk is scheduled to air on August 25th. And now we've just heard that his appearance on the Wayne Brady Show from last February is scheduled to repeat on August 13th. Tuc's visit found him cooking up a coffee cake with colorful cook Marjorie Johnson, and it's a seriously funny segement you don't want to miss. Wayne's show is syndicated, so check local listings for channel and time.

July 29, 2004 -- A Family Visit
Hot on the heels of filming his appearance on SoapTalk, Tuc will be showing up on yet another daytime chatfest: ABC's The View. This time, Tuc will be appearing with his talented sister, Courtney Watkins, who will be plugging her children's activity book, Courtney's Creative Adventures, which we highly recommend. And if you buy the book directly from Courtney's website, she'll inscribe it to you personally. How cool is that? Tuc's and Courtney's appearance on The View is scheduled to air on Monday, August 2nd, at 11:00am.

June 19, 2004 -- It's Time We Talked
What do Velma from Scooby Doo, Randy Jackson from American Idol, and singing sisters Wilson Phillips have in common with Tuc? You'll have to watch Soap Talk, SoapNet's Ty Treadway- and Lisa Rinna-hosted talk show to find out. Tuc very rarely makes appearances on talk shows, but he filmed a very funny sit-down with Ty and Lisa just yesterday and it's a guest shot you definitely won't want to miss. The show is set to air on August 25th at 11:00am and 11:00pm, eastern time.

April 27, 2004 -- Anyone Know Numerology?
Tuc's t.v. movie, Miracle in Lane 2, which originally aired on The Disney Channel a couple of years ago, will be released on DVD on May 4. This movie tells the true story of a boy with spina bifida who enters soap box derby. And Tuc appears as God! Into something a little bit more adult? How about Tuc's turn on Six Feet Under a while back as Brenda's ex-boyfriend? That episode is part of the second season of SFU being released on DVD June 8. But what does 2 and 6 really add up to (please don't say, "8")?

December 1, 2003 -- Steal A Scene With Tuc
Ever dreamed a stealing a scene from that master scene stealer himself, Tuc? Well, now's your chance. As a part of their Fan February promotion, ABC is offering soap fans a chance to be flown to NY or LA to appear in a walk-on role with their favorite ABC Daytime character, to be shot in January and aired in February. If David Vickers is your favorite, you can register with ABC's website for your chance to win. And if you do win, we expect a full report. Good luck!

October 30, 2003 -- Super Soap Weekend
We've just received confirmation from Tuc that he will be attending this year's ABC Super Soap Weekend at Florida's Disney-MGM Studios on November 8th and 9th, along with several of his OLTL co-stars. We don't yet know what sort of events Tuc will be participating in, but the weekend promises parades, game shows, talk shows, autograph sessions and more. Check MGM's website for further details. If you're attending and get to meet Tuc or have pictures to share, we'd love to hear from you. If we get enough material, we might even build a webpage around it.

August 16, 2003 -- Cary Grant, Meet David Vickers
With only days to go before Tuc's return to One Life To Live, we thought we'd pass on some details that the soap's co-head writer Michael Malone has let slip. We don't yet know how David got out of jail, but Malone hints that Dorian may have played a part in his release. And David still wants more from her. Look for David to be a romantic foil for the recently returned Kelly, whom he once kidnapped. Malone's aiming for a romantic comedy feel, with Tuc taking on the Cary Grant role.

August 5, 2003 -- A Date With Llanview
We're happy to confirm the date that Tuc will be returning to the soap's canvas: Tuesday, August 19th. The last time we saw Tuc's character, David Vickers, he was being hauled off by Moroccan police for bilking a few more rich women out of their cash. We can't wait to find out how he weaseled his way out of that one. If you feel the same, keep your eye on ABC and/or their sister cable network, SoapNet, for the answer.

June 27, 2003 -- Here Comes Trouble
Fans of David Vickers will be happy to read this news: We've just gotten confirmation that Tuc will soon be returning to the role that won him a Best Male Scene Stealer award, that of lovable troublemaker David Vickers on One Life To Live. No details yet on what will bring David back to Llanview or whose lives he'll be meddling in this time around, but we hear that his stay will be for a couple of years. Tuc plans to begin work on OLTL sometime in late July. We'll keep you updated. You heard it here first, folks.

December 5, 2002 -- Flies For February
Hot on the heels of a late October showing at the Hamptons Film Festival in Long Island, which earned it a rave review from Variety magazine, Infested has finally been scheduled for a solid VHS and DVD release date. You can place an order for the DVD, which comes out February 4, 2003. In this indie horror flick, Tuc and his co-stars are attacked by a swarm of mutant flies, which turn them into zombies. For more info, check out our Infested Credits page.

November 15, 2002 -- A Day In The Life
In a reunion of sorts, Tuc recently appeared in a short film called A Day In The Life, written by Beggars & Choosers creator Peter Lefcourt and directed by Peter's wife, Terri Hanauer (aka B&C's Dr. Wackenhut). Peter tells us that it's 24 frantic minutes in the life of an L.A. actress, played by Lisa Rotondi. "Tuc plays her boyfriend, a writer, who has a rushed tryst with her in the middle of the afternoon." If we hear of this short showing anywhere that Tuc's fans can catch it, we'll be sure to post that information here.

October 2, 2002 -- Please Release Me
Since we last reported on a video release for Tuc's mutant bug horror flick, Infested, the movie has made its way through a few distributors. At the moment, Columbia/TriStar is reportedly attached to the project, so hopefully we'll get to see it sooner than later. We'll keep you updated, as we hear more. In the meantime, if you're not squeamish, you can find out how Tuc fares in the movie by checking out our Infested credits and pictures pages. And those who are more interested in straight out comedy can now buy Tuc's guest episode of Get A Life on DVD. In one of his earliest roles, Tuc played Sapphire, a snotty male model who tangles with Chris Elliott. It's a funny half-hour that shouldn't be missed.

July 31, 2002 -- Exclusive Engagement
If you've ever checked out our Credits page, you know that Tuc has done a lot of stage work, but he hasn't done anything in years. That all changed July 25th-27th, when Tuc performed in a five performance limited run of a new play about relationships called Sure, written by Miles Chapman. Tuc's co-stars were Henry Simmons (NYPD Blue), Erica Yoder and Miki Shelton. If you weren't able to make it to one of the shows, check out our new Sure Credits page for a photo and brief summary.

April 26, 2002 -- This Cat's Out Of The Bag
It turns out the project Tuc had lined up for April was a guest spot on CBS's hit series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The episode, titled "Cats in the Cradle," featured Tuc as an auto mechanic who helped the episode's bad girl build and plant a pipe bomb to frame her husband. The episode aired April 25th. We'll be sure to report any reruns that might occur on our Tuc On Television page.

February 1, 2002 -- Old Boyfriends
We have just received word that Tuc will soon be making a guest appearance on Episode 2 of the second season of the critically acclaimed, Golden Globe-winning HBO series, Six Feet Under. Tuc will be playing a former lover of Brenda, the character played by Rachel Griffiths who also just won a Golden Globe for her role. The episode was directed by Oscar winner Kathy Bates (Misery) and should be airing on March 10th if HBO's schedule holds true.

January 9, 2002 -- And The Nominees Are...
It's that awards show time of year again, and for the second year in a row Tuc has played a major role in securing a GLAAD Media Award nomination. Last year, it was his role as Malcolm Laffley in Beggars & Choosers that earned that show an Outstanding Series nomination. This year, his guest turn on the "Gay Divorcee" episode of CBS's Family Law has resulted in an Outstanding Individual Episode nomination. If the judges caught this wonderful hour of television, there's no way it could miss. Congratulations to Tuc and the show's writers

January 2, 2002 -- Sweeps Week Charmer
It's no surprise that Tuc recently received glowing reviews as David Vickers in his brief return to One Life To Live. Many soap magazine year-end reviews mentioned his return as a highlight. Well, it looks as though Tuc will make another brief appearance on OLTL during either late January or early February. That would coincide with the time of year when networks determine the advertising rates based on the popularity of their shows. The show's execs must see Tuc's return as a real TV ratings booster for them. Smart!

November 10, 2001 -- Sterling For Christmas
Collectors of Tuc's movies have a new date to circle on their calendars. After years of being available on DVD only in Britain, I Think I Do will finally be released on DVD in the U.S. on December 11th. As most critics agreed, Tuc completely stole the show with his portrayal of dumb, but sweet, soap opera hunk Sterling Scott in this romantic comedy. No word on what, if any, extras will be on the DVD, but several websites like Amazon.com are already accepting pre-orders. Be sure to let Santa know you want this goodie under your tree this holiday season.

September 27, 2001 -- Career Opportunities
A very reliable source has given us more background on Tuc's decision to return to One Life To Live. In early September, Tuc was scheduled for a few meetings with theater producers in NYC. When OLTL caught wind of this, they asked Tuc if he would make a brief return to their show while he was in town and he agreed to do so. Because of the tragic attacks on NYC though, Tuc's theater meetings were canceled. No word on whether this signals a potential return to the stage for him, but we can confirm that he filmed his scenes with OLTL. Stay tuned for more.

September 15, 2001 -- The Devil Is In The Details
We have received confirmation from Tuc's reps that he will be returning to ABC's One Life To Live as troublemaking charmer David Vickers. Tuc's return to the show will be for five days only, and this short stint was one of the decisive factors for him agreeing to return. His scenes with OLTL were filmed in September, with airdates planned for October. Of course, with the recent tragedy in New York City, the airdates may be postponed a bit. Stay tuned, we'll bring you more details as they develop.

June 12, 2001 -- Deep Throat
A source close to the production of Tuc's recently filmed, but yet-to-be released new movie, Infested, tells us that this fright flick is being touted as The Big Chill meets The Night of the Living Dead. We hear that it starts out, just like The Big Chill, where several college friends reunite for the funeral of one of their own. Then the killing begins. It was shot in April and May of this year on the eastern end of Long Island. Even our well-placed source isn't sure about the release date yet. It's still in the editing stages as we speak (as we write?). Thanks for sending us this info!

April 12, 2001 -- Virus Alert
Time to get out the bug spray. We've learned that Tuc is currently filming an independent feature film called Infested. Written and directed by Josh Olson, the film finds several people returning home for the funeral of a friend. Horrific mayhem soon ensues when a breed of genetically-altered insects starts infecting the funeral attendees. Tuc plays a character named Carl. Infested also stars Amy Jo Johnson (Cold Hearts), Zach Galligan (Gremlins, and coincidentally, Little Insects), Lisa Ann Hadley (Jerry Maguire), and Robert Duncan McNeill (Star Trek: Voyager). Convent director Mike Mendez helped out behind the scenes; the flies will be done with CGI FX and Vincent Guastini (Requiem For A Dream) handles the gore.

April 10, 2001 -- The Ultimate Mummy
Thought you were ready for the sequel to the box office hit, The Mummy? Well, maybe not quite yet. This spring Universal Studios is releasing The Mummy Ultimate Edition on DVD. It will contain commentary on the original 1999 film by director Stephen Sommers, as well as theatrical trailers, some inside information regarding special effects, and some deleted scenes. It is also said to contain a Mummy PC Video game demo. Coincidentally, this special edition is scheduled to be released on April 24, the week before The Mummy Returns premieres in U.S. theaters.

April 5, 2001 -- Guest Starring Role
We're happy to report that the dry spell following the cancellation of Beggars & Choosers has come to an end. Tuc will appear on the April 9th episode of the CBS drama series Family Law. Tuc plays a gay man involved in a custody struggle with his domestic partner of 12 years over their two adopted children. Family Law stars Kathleen Quinlan and Tony Danza, who played Tuc's lawyers. Be sure to keep an eye on our Tuc On Television page for any future reruns.

January 18, 2001 -- Outstanding Comedy Series
We'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Tuc and everyone else involved with Beggars & Choosers on their well-deserved GLAAD Media Awards nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series. The nominees were announced January 16th, and Beggars & Choosers was nominated alongside NBC's Will & Grace, Telemundo's Los Beltran, and the WB's Popular. The awards will take place in four ceremonies to be held in New York City on April 16, in Los Angeles on April 28, in Washington, D.C. on May 12, and in San Francisco on June 9. Now let's hope that B&C walks away with the big prize.

January 16, 2001 -- Tuc's Sisters
Early in his career, Tuc had a small, recurring role on the drama, Sisters. Tuc played Brad, the assistant to lawyer "sister" Julianne Phillips, and had brief scenes in at least three episodes from the show's first two seasons. In late January, the SoapNet cable network will begin reairing Sisters' first season, including two episodes with Tuc: "A Thousand Sprinkles" at 3pm on January 26th, and "Deja Vu All Over Again" at 3pm on January 31st.

December 19, 2000 -- The End of the Road for B&C
It looks like Beggars & Choosers fans will be getting a lump of coal this Christmas. Showtime has decided not to renew the show for a third season because of poor ratings. The last six new episodes of B&C will begin airing Tuesday, January 2nd and will run through the first week of February. We understand that at least three of the remaining episodes will feature prominent storylines for Tuc's character, Malcolm Laffley, so don't give up watching yet. There's still plenty more of Malcolm left to enjoy.

December 2, 2000 -- Take Tuc Home
Tuc's original television film, Miracle in Lane 2, which originally aired on The Disney Channel last spring, will be released on video on December 19. This movie tells the true story of Justin Yoder, a boy with spina bifida who enters soap box derby racing so he can win a trophy like his able-bodied older brother. Tuc appears in a dual role, as "a motorhead God" and as the young boy's racing hero. This video can be purchased on Amazon.com or else you can simply rent it soon at a video store near you. This will make a great feel good family film for the holidays.

September 25, 2000 -- The Thin Pink Line
Tuc's independent film, The Thin Pink Line, is now available on video in Australia and New Zealand, and will be released theatrically in Japan on October 7th. We still have no idea about whether Alpine Entertainment ever plans to release it here in the United States in any form (i.e., theater, video, or cable). This film boasts an all-star cast including Mike Myers, Janeane Garofalo, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Illeana Douglas, and Jason Priestly. It has been described as being "...similar to Waiting For Guffman which is equally good! Worth a look if you like 'mockumentaries'!" Sounds great to us, but will we ever get a chance to see this flick?

September 2, 2000 -- Tuc's Birthday
With the arrival of September also comes Tuc's birthday. To celebrate, we've designed and built a screen saver for our visitors. It's our gift to you with our thanks. Just simply follow the instructions on the accompanying screen saver page and installation should be a snap. Of course, if you have any problems, drop us a line. We're here to help.

July 10, 2000 -- B&C Season 2 Preview
We've managed to locate a few new details for those of you who are anxious to know what's going to happen on Season 2 of Beggars & Choosers. A couple cast additions, including Beau Bridges as a dot com billionaire who buys LGT and Justin Carroll as a British VP of programming who'll tangle with Lori, and a few more story arc hints (expect to see more of Lori's arch-nemesis, Casey Lennox). The first new episode of Season 2 aired on June 27, with several more to follow every Tuesday night at 10:00pm eastern time. For more details, check out our newly redesigned Beggars & Choosers Page.

May 21, 2000 -- Tuc's Indie Films
One of the questions we hear more than any other is what do we know about the two indie films Tuc made in 1998-99, Can't Stop Dancing and The Thin Pink Line, and will they ever be released? Very little is known about either, including the extent of Tuc's role in each. However, we recently found out that Can't Stop Dancing has been picked up for distribution by Miramax Films, and The Thin Pink Line has been picked up by another company called Alpine Entertainment. Whether this means either film will make it to a theater screen near you (or a video store or cable TV screen) remains to be seen, but for the first time in a year there's hope for both. We'll keep you updated on any other news we hear.

May 21, 2000 -- Beggars & Choosers Season 2
Showtime has confirmed that Beggars & Choosers will be moving to Tuesdays at 10pm, beginning on Tuesday, June 20th. That night, a half-hour recap of Season One, "Who's Who on Beggars & Choosers," will air for those who missed any of Season One and need to catch up, as well as anyone needing a Season One refresher. On Tuesday, June 27th, the first episode of Season Two, "PMS.com," will air at 10pm.

May 08, 2000 -- Tuc Plays God
Don't miss Tuc in Miracle In Lane 2, an original film that premieres on May 13th on The Disney Channel, and will continue to play throughout the month of May. Based on a true story, the film stars Malcolm In The Middle's Frankie Muniz as a young disabled boy who enters soap box derby racing so he can win a trophy like his able-bodied older brother. Tuc appears in a dual role, as God (no kidding!) and as Bobby Wade, the young boy's racing hero.
